hi, i’m kennedy.

Hi! I’m Kennedy Matz and am a footwear designer with New Balance. I graduated from the college of DAAP (Design, Art, Architecture, & Planning) at the University of Cincinnati in 2021, where I earned my degree in industrial design. When designing, I always strive for a clear level of innovation and forward thinking, and love being able to defend those choices with research and trend analysis.

Outside of design, I find joy in the mindset of always saying yes to trying new things and being a bit goofy. My love for new experiences and the outdoors has led me to pick up hiking, snowboarding, and climbing. Aside from these things, I am an avid concert go-er and audiophile, and can usually be seen somewhere petting someone’s dog.
